So I've basically given up on this blog which is unnecessarily cruel. All it did was give me the attention I craved, but clearly didn't deserve. I'm sorry, baby!

My last few months have been busy with me growing as a person SO MUCH. No, not physically, unfortunately.*

I've been hustlin', I've worked a very very crappy retail job and I just finished a 3 month unpaid internship at  an online company. Who then offered me a paid position, which I'll be trained in and hopefully be made permanent. GO ME! My label has not fared so well, in fact, it is completely on the back burner until I have more experience and capital under my belt.

I feel like the reason my attempts at starting up last year failed was because my heart wasn't fully in it. I honestly believe that when I'm passionate about something, I give it my all and go all in. It consumes me to the point of insanity...I just want it to work you, know? When I love, I love HARD. Wait, what was this blog post about again?

To 2014 and more posts**

Ayyyyy.

*I fully accept and embrace my shortness. Short Power!

the pros and cons of selling out as a {fashion student}

I finished an internship with a retail company today, and while I found the whole experience very informative and dare I say - FUN*, I began worrying about what I'd do next year.** So I made this list thingy***:

click for full resolution. if you want. i'm not telling you what to do, gawd.

of course, my other options are DO NOTHING, marry a very wealthy man I can bum off the rest of my life or continuing my studies by doing my BTech. I guess I'll leave that for another list thingy.

Also, if you're Muslim and you're reading this post - Ramadaan Kareem! :)

*also exhausting. going from waking up at 8 for college to 6.30 for work :/ being an adult is tiring!
**I graduate this year
***I got distracted while doing this & I was too lazy to finish it when I remembered what I was doing, so it is a bit incomplete.

the birth of Moon

The title of this post leaves me slightly nauseous. Nevertheless, ladies and gentlemen, I give you...

MY LABEL'S LOGO! TADA!
I'm not 100% committed to this, though. It was created this afternoon because I was about to send off a design for a client when I realised my label name is not on the design sheet. I do like it, I really do, but I have commitment issues :'( So this may or may not stick. I think I'll make a few other logos and see which one sticks to me the most. For now, this will do.

Redesign. Refocus. Restart.

I initially started this blog for the sake of starting a blog. Not generally the best way to start a blog. So, what I'm going to do is basically reboot* Qinoom. Have it be more focused so that posts aren't so...scattered. I feel like this should be more cohesive? I'll try not to make this a personal blog thing. I would obvs still post my many opinions on things but I think I need to stick to a sort of formula. Hopefully it doesn't get too repetitive** and mundane, though. In summary: new blog design***, focused subject matter (fashion, my designs/"artwork", music), and I'll try to always type like a lady. :)

In other news, 3rd year is a crapload of work.**** I mean, it's not like I wasn't expecting that but I feel like I can't breathe sometimes. Then I just do nothing. I'm a stupid.

Here is a song for you.
Goodnight.
xx

***attempting to do that myself, wish me luck
****I already broke away from the formula. dang it. I kind of already saw myself not sticking to said formula :l

Phases of Having a Fringe

A re-post of a tumblr post I did last year. This time with "illustrations".*

 1. How it starts: Boredom - You look in the mirror and you go "eh". You're craving change and excitement with your hair. So you think, "Hey! I'll get bangs!"

2. Transformation - the fringe changes your face and you look and feel AMAZING. You're bouncing off the walls with your happiness. People are complimenting you on how different you look. Smiles all around.

3. Regret - After a while of staring at yourself too much with your new, shiny fringe, you start to think that you look weird. You feel like those compliments about how different you look aren't really compliments at all. ALSO, you actually have curly hair so now you have to make sure that your hair is straightened at all times. All this effort, gosh.

4. Acceptance - You have come to terms with your fringe. Sometimes it's your worst frenemy, like when it refuses to be styled properly. At other times, your BFFF when a really cute guy smiles at you or when other (obviously envious) women compliment your hairstyle. Awesome.

5. Impatience - It's at such an awkward length now, you know... too long so it obscures your vision sometimes, and too short to pin up. WHEN WILL IT GROW OUT ALREADY?!

kbye.

Not every douchebag wears Ed Hardy, but all Ed Hardy wearers are douchebags

I still stand 110% behind that statement. A-Muse recently took part in a rooftop fashion show (!) and there was this one male model who thought he was The Business. Yeah, he was kinda cute but seriously bro, you're short. There were at least 5 other models that were better looking. Anyway, you're probably thinking "how did this guy offend Moon?".* I'll tell you how. Firstly, he offended me with his Ed Hardy bag!!!! Who even wears Ed Hardy these days? Chinatown doesn't even get fEd Hardy goods aymore. Secondly, he was REALLY obnoxious. Brother man, you're just a runway model. Which means you're basically just a hanger.**

ANYWAYS, look how cool the fashion show venue (Grand Daddy Hotel) is:
Just as I walked out of this hotel, a bergie grabbed my arm and told me I looked lovely & I'm a model. I freaked out coz like, GERMS and stuff, but I was totally flattered.

The rooftop has caravans all around it which is very cool.
The models walked up from the staircase in that center block thingy, and then around it. I hope Douchebag Model stumbled somewhere.

I never took any pix because I suck. Sorry, yo.
Oh and there's a really bad pic of me on thunda.com*** :(

*I know you aren't, but pretend with me, thanks.
**This post is really bitchy.
***Didn't know that website still existed.
