the pros and cons of selling out as a {fashion student}

I finished an internship with a retail company today, and while I found the whole experience very informative and dare I say - FUN*, I began worrying about what I'd do next year.** So I made this list thingy***:

click for full resolution. if you want. i'm not telling you what to do, gawd.

of course, my other options are DO NOTHING, marry a very wealthy man I can bum off the rest of my life or continuing my studies by doing my BTech. I guess I'll leave that for another list thingy.

Also, if you're Muslim and you're reading this post - Ramadaan Kareem! :)

*also exhausting. going from waking up at 8 for college to 6.30 for work :/ being an adult is tiring!
**I graduate this year
***I got distracted while doing this & I was too lazy to finish it when I remembered what I was doing, so it is a bit incomplete.

Redesign. Refocus. Restart.

I initially started this blog for the sake of starting a blog. Not generally the best way to start a blog. So, what I'm going to do is basically reboot* Qinoom. Have it be more focused so that posts aren't so...scattered. I feel like this should be more cohesive? I'll try not to make this a personal blog thing. I would obvs still post my many opinions on things but I think I need to stick to a sort of formula. Hopefully it doesn't get too repetitive** and mundane, though. In summary: new blog design***, focused subject matter (fashion, my designs/"artwork", music), and I'll try to always type like a lady. :)

In other news, 3rd year is a crapload of work.**** I mean, it's not like I wasn't expecting that but I feel like I can't breathe sometimes. Then I just do nothing. I'm a stupid.

Here is a song for you.
Goodnight.
xx

**5?
***attempting to do that myself, wish me luck
****I already broke away from the formula. dang it. I kind of already saw myself not sticking to said formula :l

Phases of Having a Fringe

A re-post of a tumblr post I did last year. This time with "illustrations".*

 1. How it starts: Boredom - You look in the mirror and you go "eh". You're craving change and excitement with your hair. So you think, "Hey! I'll get bangs!"

2. Transformation - the fringe changes your face and you look and feel AMAZING. You're bouncing off the walls with your happiness. People are complimenting you on how different you look. Smiles all around.

3. Regret - After a while of staring at yourself too much with your new, shiny fringe, you start to think that you look weird. You feel like those compliments about how different you look aren't really compliments at all. ALSO, you actually have curly hair so now you have to make sure that your hair is straightened at all times. All this effort, gosh.

4. Acceptance - You have come to terms with your fringe. Sometimes it's your worst frenemy, like when it refuses to be styled properly. At other times, your BFFF when a really cute guy smiles at you or when other (obviously envious) women compliment your hairstyle. Awesome.

5. Impatience - It's at such an awkward length now, you know... too long so it obscures your vision sometimes, and too short to pin up. WHEN WILL IT GROW OUT ALREADY?!

kbye.
